Alfonso is a partner in the Finance and Capital Markets practice area and Head of the Department of Collective Investment Schemes (IICs) and Pension Plans and Funds. He joined the firm in 2001 and became a partner in 2013. His work includes: Advising leading investment firms, collective investment scheme management companies (SGIICs), credit entities and pension fund management companies on diverse issues related to the regulation of capital markets. Advice, set-up and legal management of IICs and pension plans and funds. He has acted as secretary to the board in more than 225 variable capital investment companies (SICAVs): set-up, removal from the Spanish Securities Market Commission (CNMV) registry, tranformation, mergers, increases and decreases in capital, winding-up, etc. Advice on pension funds: Set-up, creation and integration of pension plans, advice to supervisory committees, drafting of specifications and regulations for plans and funds.
