Career

Partner of the Civil Litigation Department, with over nine years’ experience, she joined the firm in 2012.

Carmen specialises in insolvency law and civil litigation; of interest is the advice she has provided in pre-insolvency scenarios (refinancing agreements, debt restructuring and court validations) and in the filing of voluntary and legal insolvency proceedings, including challenges brought against the same, advice at all insolvency stages, representing both the debtor and creditors, to include categorisation proceedings.

In turn, she has also specialised in defending financial agreements, to include financial swaps, preferential participations, structured products, bonds, warrants, etc.

Furthermore, she also offers valuable experience in preparing proceedings examined by various arbitration courts, to include the International Chamber of Commerce and Arbitration Court in Madrid, at all procedural stages.
