Partner, practice areas include M&As, capital markets transactions and arbitration. Mr. Pekin is specialized in M&As, securities law, international business transactions, corporate transactions, arbitration, contracts and sector-specific transactions in energy, pharmaceuticals and telecommunications areas. Mr. Pekin has been the leading counsel in the acquisition of a major airport operations company, in various pharmaceutical and healthcare-related transactions (the size of the referred deals and transactions ranging from Euro 50 million to 500 millions) and in numerous energy-related transactions (the size of the referred deals and transactions ranging from Euro 10 million to 250 millions). Mr. Pekin has been a member of the core team in the various international public offerings and he has been the leading counsel in more than two dozens of major acquisitions and M&A projects in Turkey in recent years in various other sectors such as cosmetics, retail, appliances, manufacturing, food and beverage, textile, services etc. He has been representing financial institutions and banks in project finance deals, he has also acted in various International Chamber of Commerce arbitration proceedings as claimants’ and respondents’ counsel and led the arbitration team, both with respect to petition submissions and oral hearings before the Tribunals. Mr. Pekin has been representing various private equity funds in their projects in Turkey and providing counseling for legal and real foreign persons with respect to several issues, including, employment matters, acquisition of companies and real property in Turkey, general corporate transactions and contract review, regulatory legal advice and applications to various governmental authorities.
