HEUSSEN strengthens its team with Nicole Alexander-Huhle as Partner in the area of Corporate and Real Estate Law

With Nicole Alexander-Huhle (42), HEUSSEN is further expanding its Corporate and Real Estate practice groups at its Munich office. Ms. Alexander-Huhle, who advises clients on investment and regulatory law as well as on the implementation of sustainability issues in the financial services sector, joined the firm as a partner in June. She previously worked for several years as an in-house lawyer and head of the legal department of a real estate and capital management company.

Nicole Alexander-Huhle specializes in advising on investment law under the German Investment Code. Among other things, she advises securities and real estate funds (AIF) on all legal issues in connection with the activities of a capital management company and the launch and management of investment assets. In the area of sustainability ("ESG" and "Sustainability"), she supports financial market participants in the implementation of the EU Action Plan on Sustainable Finance and the related manifold requirements from the EU Disclosure and Taxonomy Regulation.

Christoph Hamm, Managing Director of HEUSSEN Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft, says: "Ms. Alexander-Huhle's expertise, especially regarding advising open-end funds, is an excellent addition to our team. By her initiative, we will expand an area that is in high demand among our clients. In addition, against the backdrop of the European Green Deal, many companies are aligning their investment strategies and corporate concept in a sustainable manner. Here, Ms. Alexander-Huhle's expertise is also valuable. She has already assisted clients in structuring and launching sustainable funds and can also provide competent advice on this topic."

Nicole Alexander-Huhle adds: "I am very much looking forward to using the scope available at HEUSSEN and to establishing and expanding an area of investment law for open-ended funds in which I can bring my many years of practical experience to bear. Together with my colleague Martin Wolfstetter, who also works as a partner at the interface between corporate and real estate law and has focused on closed-end funds and alternative assets, we can now offer legal advice for the entire spectrum of funds."

Banking and capital markets law, together with investment and regulatory law, is part of the corporate area at HEUSSEN - one of the core areas of the firm. Around 30 partners and lawyers advise in particular on transactions, financing rounds and restructuring and regulatory law. National and international clients are advised on all corporate law matters and all questions relating to corporate organisation. The team has also extensive experience in cross- border matters.
