Howard is recognised within the Industry and legal directories as a highly skilled and experienced construction lawyer. He is popular with clients for being hands-on, commercial and tough when required. He heads up our construction team.

Clients report they like the fact that Howard will help out during the lifecycle of a project, advising on contract administration and management.  He will often suggest producing a Strategy Report at an early stage, combining legal and contractual analysis with effective practical and commercial advice on the way forward.

He is familiar with all main Standard Form Contracts and Project procurement routes. He will get stuck in working alongside clients negotiating and drafting construction contracts, consultants appointments, collateral warranties, bonds and other construction related documentation.

Howard has a particular interest in the highways maintenance and street lighting sector. He also advises on compliance issues and drafting codes of conduct and procedures for the Construction Industry to comply with the Bribery Act 2010.
