Position

Partner at GPA since 1998. Partner at ECIJA - GPA since its merger in 2020.

Specialized in foreign investments, contracts, local registering and consulting to foreign companies doing business in Ecuador as well as in Contract executions with Government and state owned institutions, specially with Petroecuador, Ministry of Energy and State owned Telecommunications company as well as with the private sector. Participation in international round bids for Oil Blocks and assistance in registration of foreign companies in Ecuador (set up branches).

Manages corporate law, oil and gas law, insurance law, labor law, international arbitration and mediation, as well as international negotiations. His doctor’s thesis degree was based on Ecuador’s Participation Contract for hydrocarbons exploration and exploitation.  He has been and is currently Legal representative/Agent and attorney in fact and law consultant for several foreign companies in the oil production, oil services, purchase of Oriente Crude and Napo oil, insurance and telecommunications sector. Contracts administration and negotiations are of his best interest, as well as representing foreign companies doing business in Ecuador. Pipeline deformation, maintenance and in-line inspections contracts vast experience.  Crude Oil trading in Ecuador contracts executions and administration for more than a decade. 

Education

Jurisprudence Doctor and Attorney at Law from the Central University of Quito since 2000. Licentiate degree in Public and Social Sciences (1.991). Graduated from the American School of Quito

Francisco has attended several seminars on civil law, tax law, American judicial system, leadership and negotiations.
