Career

Adv. Shira Schlaff provides legal counsel in a wide variety of commercial and corporate fields, including telecommunications, hi-tech, licensing, research and development agreements, and complex software and hardware contracts. She also practices litigation, with a focus on litigation involving English-speaking clients or witnesses and arbitration in English.

Adv. Schlaff received both her undergraduate degree (in Intellectual History) and her law degree from the University of Pennsylvania. While in law school, she volunteered at the Israeli Supreme Court for Chief Justice Barak, where she researched comparative law.

After completing her studies, she worked in the prestigious U.S. law firms Pepper Hamilton, LLP (2003-2005) and Kirkland & Ellis, LLP (2005-2007), where she represented large U.S. companies in complex litigations in federal and state courts across the United States. Representative matters include the defense of pharmaceutical companies in complex product liability suits and the defense of large corporations in actions for breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, false advertising, and misappropriation of trade secrets.

Adv. Schlaff has a wealth of experience of the day-to-day tasks involved in litigation and commercial transactions, including drafting and negotiating  contracts, performing due diligence, drafting legal memoranda on complicated legal issues, and has substantial experience in other stages of complicated commercial litigation and arbitration as well.

Adv. Schlaff joined our legal team after completing her internship at the firm.
