Career

Barbara joined Avramopoulos & Partners Law Firm in 2005 and is currently a Partner.

As her practice focuses on corporate and commercial law, she handles assignments mainly involving legal advisory and legal due diligence as well as drafting and reviewing all types of commercial agreements, while she has also dealt with numerous share and asset deals.

Barbara is also active in the field of public tenders, advising local and foreign companies in all stages of the respective procedures, including their representation before all competent Administrative Courts.

During her career, she has also successfully conducted complex litigation cases on civil law disputes, while her practice involves provision of advice on employment law issues as well.

Further, over the past two decades, Barbara has been regularly dealing with IT and TMT issues, in which she has deep expertise, advising various multinational companies on issues regarding the electronic communication services framework in Greece and the developments in the respective national legislation, while since 2007 she is in charge of one of the Firm’s key clients in this sector, Algosystems S.A., a pioneer provider of IT, cybersecurity and managed services.

In 2022, she has been certified as a Data Protection Officer by the Hellenic Institute of Certifications.

Particularly as regards data protection law, Barbara has participated in numerous multijurisdictional projects run by international Law Firms, involving the drafting and review of employee privacy notices and other data protection related documents for multinational group of companies, for the purpose of ensuring compliance with local law.

In the past, she has participated in the Law Firm’s team that advised the Greek Ministry of Transport and Communications in relation to the drawing up of the National Strategy in the area of Electronic Communications for the period 2007 – 2013, while during 2006 – 2007, she was member of the Greek Ministry of Transport and Communications’ Committee, in charge of supervising the implementation of the Contract between the Greek State and Hellas Sat Consortium Ltd. in relation with the Greek Satellite System.
