Laurent is a banking and finance, capital markets and securities and private clients law partner based in Kuwait and has been with the firm since 2014. Prior to joining ASAR, Laurent worked for international law firms with postings in Canada, France, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. Laurent has extensive experience in finance, banking and securities regulation. Laurent also assists clients in various areas relating to wealth management, wealth transfer, estate planning and philanthropic giving.

Establishment of foreign bank branches: Strategically advising a private bank on the establishment of a representative office and foreign bank branch, ensuring seamless compliance with regulatory frameworks through diligent liaison with relevant authorities. Acquisition and sale of private jets, yachts and offshore real estate: Spearheading transactions involving the acquisition and divestment of high-value assets such as private jets, yachts, and offshore real estate, orchestrating seamless processes to meet clients' discerning needs and preferences
