Maria Wallenborg Ekdahl will assume her role as CEO for Foyen on 2 April. As Foyen continues to be one of the profession’s few law firms with a CEO without a legal background who can thereby fully focus on developing the firm. The objectives are clear. Foyen wants to create even more value for its clients and develop the company into an industry leader for project and technology legal advice.

– Over the last ten years Foyen has seen a fantastic growth trajectory and increased revenues by 143%. Our office was nominated for the second time in 2019 as law firm of the year among medium-size offices. Maria Wallenborg Ekdahl’s previous employer, like Foyen, has grown considerably in recent years, and she played a significant role. In recent years Foyen has put a lot of time and effort into creating a knowledgeable and experienced team, that together can give our clients greater value. Both the management team and the practice areas work closely together to offer the best and most personal service. For Foyen, therefore, its knowledge of the legal profession in combination with an understanding of team collaboration were decisive in the choice of the new CEO.

– Foyen advises on several of Sweden’s largest infrastructure projects and has a unique expertise in the legal profession in this area. I know from experience that Foyen has many very skilled people behind the success of the firm. I look forward to contributing my experience to create growth, and further highlight Foyen’s expertise in the market, says Maria Wallenborg Ekdahl.

Maria Wallenborg Ekdahl succeeds Linnéa Djursén. Linnea was, when she assumed the role, Sweden’s first female CEO without a legal background among Sweden’s 20 largest law firms.
