In 1996 he joined a leading international tax law firm of which he became partner in 2003. He joined Facchini Rossi Michelutti Studio Legale Tributario as name partner in June 2019.

He is member of the IBA (International Bar Association).

He is an independent director and member of the board of auditors of various companies.

He provides tax assistance to domestic and foreign corporate groups, banks and private equity funds. His areas of expertise include M&A and reorganisation transactions, financial taxation, corporate taxation, international taxation, transfer pricing and patent box, management incentive plans, assistance in pre-litigation procedures and tax litigation.

He is the author of various publications on tax law matters and he often speaks at domestic and international seminars and conferences.

He was admitted to the Association of Chartered Accountants of Milan in 1995 and to the Italian Bar in 2001. Since 2020 he is admitted to the Italian Supreme Court.

Riccardo Michelutti graduated cum laude in Economics at the Bocconi University of Milan in 1992 where he also obtained a Master of Corporate Tax Law in 1993. In 1997 he graduated cum laude in Law at the University of Milan.
