Career

Azamat Fayzullaev is one of the founding partners of Leges Advokat with more than 25 years of experience working as a lawyer in Uzbekistan, with emphasis on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions.

In 1994 through 1999 Azamat worked as in-house counsel of the National Bank of Uzbekistan – the largest commercial bank of the country. At the end of 1999 he joined the legal practice of “Arthur Andersen” and then of “Ernst & Young” and worked at these internationally recognized firms until 2004, when he and his partner established a law firm under the name of “Leges Advokat”, which has become one of the leading law firms of Uzbekistan.

Azamat handles a wide array of corporate law issues, including establishment of legal entities (joint-ventures and subsidiaries of foreign companies), shareholders’ agreement, mergers and acquisitions, reorganization, voluntary liquidation and bankruptcy.

He also provides advice on a broad range of transactions including international sale of goods, PPP Projects, real estate and construction.

Azamat is highly regarded by his international and local clients and is continuously recognized as Band 1 / Tier 1 lawyer in Uzbekistan by such worldwide legal directories as Chambers & Partners and Legal 500.
