Adv. Ron Berkman is the founding partner of law firm Berkman & Co. and one of Israel’s most prominent attorneys.
Adv. Berkman is widely regarded as one of the leading attorneys in Israel in a broad variety of commercial litigation fields, and he is regularly recommended by Israeli and international ranking directories in this area of practice.
Adv. Berkman has extensive experience accumulated over many years in handling complex litigation cases of significant scope, before all court instances and tribunals in Israel. Among others, Adv. Berkman represents large private and public companies, and advises them on a long list of issues, from the early stages of the dispute and through to judgment or the achievement of arrangements under complex settlement agreements.
Adv. Berkman is widely-renowned for his special expertise in advising on and handling corporate control contests in companies and partnerships, including the handling of derivative actions and discrimination claims. He also has considerable experience in counseling the boards of directors of companies in disputes of these types. In addition, Adv. Berkman advises private partnerships such as accounting firms and law firms in need of assistance with regard to internal disagreements and conflicts.
Adv. Berkman is one of the founding fathers of the class action field in Israel. In fact, more than 25 years ago, and long before the field was regulated by comprehensive legislation, he filed Israel’s first class action lawsuit. Since then, and to this day, Adv. Berkman’s creativity and vast experience have given him the reputation of a leading attorney in representation of corporate defendants in class action lawsuits in numerous and diverse sectors, including communications, the capital market, banking, insurance, consumerism and more.
