Catherine Popineau-Dehaullon heads the Civil Liability and Insurance Department

Position

Catherine’s expertise focuses, both on a national and an international level, on industrial risks, product liability, agri-food civil liability, medical malpractice, environmental liability, contractors’ all risks, occupational diseases and gross negligence employer’s liability.

She also has a daily practice in insurance law (liability insurance, construction, personal insurance, professional arbitration, regulatory, financial guarantee, brokers) defending insurance companies and brokers.

Catherine is fluent in English and German and regularly conducts high-level training courses in Liability and Insurance law, either face-to-face or by webinars.

Clients say that she is “an expert in insurance coverage disputes” and that “she stands out for her leadership”.

Career

Before joigning the Firm in 2010 and becoming a Partner in 2014, Catherine has worked for a Barrister Firm appearing before the Cour de cassation and Conseil d'Etat (avocats au Conseil d'Etat et à la Cour de cassation) and has taught several CIvil law topics at University Paris II Panthéon-Assas and University of Rouen.
