Our firm employs lawyers from all social classes. We have lawyers from poor and uneducated backgrounds in our firm.
Race and Ethnicity
We acknowledge, celebrate and recognise the value and benefits of a culturally diverse environment. We value diversity of opinions, perspectives and ideas. We also recognise that our team is a reflection of our community and we remain committed to recruiting and retaining a culturally diverse workforce. Being in a country with more than 250 ethnic groups, our firm has two (2) of the three (3) major groups - Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba - represented in the firm. We also have minority ethnic groups from the northern and southern parts of Nigeria in the firm.

A key component of our diversity strategy is to have a fair representation of both genders contribute fully to the achievement of the Firm’s goals. We are committed to developing, promoting and retaining both male and female members of the Firm. The ratio of female lawyers to male lawyers is 44: 56.

Bloomfield LP provided pro bono legal advisory services to EaziFunds Capital Limited (the “Company”) in relation to its general operations as an advisory-focused investment banking boutique firm aimed at providing unique solutions to financing challenges in Africa, as well as in connection with the establishment of an investment vehicle as a means of connecting prospective investors with companies seeking funding.
We also advised the Company on the legal and regulatory framework for the development of a crowdfunding platform in Nigeria.
World Bank
As part of our pro bono culture, Bloomfield LP always contribute to the World Bank Doing Business Report for Nigeria. Recently, our Associates contributed to the World Bank Doing Business Report for 2021 (Nigeria) where we opined on various aspect of the report such as Starting a Business, Enforcing Contracts, Protecting Minority Investors amongst others.

Bloomfield sponsored an investment competition organized by 234Finance.com for promising start-up businesses in Nigeria. 234Finance.com is an online platform that promotes African entrepreneurship by bridging the gap between investors and early-stage startups in Africa’s emerging market. 234Finance provides the support, tools and opportunities required to start, scale and manage African ventures.
Bloomfield provided free of charge legal services for one (1) year for the year 2020 to Kernelinc Resources Limited, Yogurmac Limited and Nwachinemerem Farms, winners of year 2019 234Finance.com’s investment competition.
Bloomfield LP is a collaborator with the Lagos Public Interest Law Partnership under the auspices of the Pro Bono Coordinator, Office of the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Lagos State.
CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR)
Bloomfield LP recognizes and awards prizes to outstanding students from the Faculties of Law at the University of Ibadan, Lagos State University, Olabisi Onabanjo University and Swansea University.
Bloomfield LP was one of the sponsors of the 5th NBA-SBL Annual Business Law Conference for the year 2021 themed “Re-tooling Businesses for Change; Leveraging the Tech Explosion”.
Bloomfield LP trains undergraduates by granting bi-annual internship opportunities to qualified students to learn and acquire soft skills at the Firm.
