Career

Valérie Lafarge-Sarkozy specializes in business litigation and pre-litigation. She advises a French and international clientele made up of insurance companies, banks, industrial groups, accounting firms and auditing firms. More specifically, her areas of expertise include complex or group litigation, class actions, emerging risks (cyber risks) and the management of the often-related crises, be it shareholder disputes, product liability, or executive and bank liability.

Valérie Lafarge-Sarkozy is an Expert Member of the Club des Juristes (the largest French legal think tank) and General Secretary of the Club’s Commission on Cyber Security.  “Insuring Cyber Risk”, the first volume of the Commission’s report, was published to wide acclaim in January 2018. The second volume has been published in April 2021.  She also teaches within the Master 2 – International Business Law program at the Université Paris Sud and frequently intervenes in the “Cercle des Administrateurs” (association of administrators).
