Career

Martin Randa began his professional career as an in-house Counsel at a company in a leading international automobile concern. He gained further expert knowledge and experience at the Prague branch of a leading international law firm where he worked as a Junior Associate and then as an Associate at another prestigious Czech law firm. Martin Randa and Jan Havel established RANDA HAVEL LEGAL in 2005.

Martin Randa has extensive expert experience in international transactions gained during the privatisation of two leading Czech banks and acquisitions of significant Czech industrial and energy companies. He has participated in projects to create standard bank documentation, as well as preparing comprehensive loan contracts and financing of developer projects in the banking and financing segments. He has been actively involved in significant international projects in the areas of real estate and construction, including construction of investment projects, residential projects and projects involving extensive shopping centres.

In the area of dispute resolution, Martin Randa has represented a leading international steel company in one of the largest court disputes in the Czech Republic. At present, he is focussing on real estate and construction, dispute resolution and general commercial law and corporate law.

Martin Randa’s experience also includes environmental law, including the legal area of waste disposal.

Martin Randa is an arbitrator in the Arbitration Court attached to the Economic Chamber of the Czech Republic and the Agricultural Chamber of the Czech Republic.

Education

Martin Randa graduated from the Law Faculty at Charles University in Prague. After studying comparative law and international transactions at the San Francisco School of Law, he acquired the title of Master of Laws (LL.M.).
