Career

Karsten Müller advises and represents national and international clients in the field of intellectual property law. He focuses on litigation and strategic advice in the areas of trademark, competition and design law.

Karsten Müller studied law at the University of Münster and at the University of Lapland in Rovaniemi, laying focus on intellectual property and IT law. While completing his doctorate, he worked as a research fellow at the Institute for Information, Telecommunications and Media Law (ITM) in Münster. He then worked as a research assistant in the IP teams of two international law firms in Düsseldorf.

In 2021, Karsten Müller received his PhD with a doctoral thesis on the liability of providers of internet rating platforms under unfair competition law.

Karsten Müller completed his legal clerkship in the district of the Higher Regional Court of Düsseldorf. During that, he gained further experience in the field of trademark, unfair competition and design law in the IP team of a major international law firm as well as in the legal department of a German car manufacturer in the premium and luxury segment.

Karsten Müller joined HOYNG ROKH MONEGIER as an attorney-at-law (Associate) in February 2023.
