Rö’s co-founder and managing partner Marcin Radwan-Röhrenschef, PhD, is a formidable litigator who has a wealth of experience in representing clients in complex commercial disputes, including cases in the areas of criminal, bankruptcy and administrative law. He advises leading multinational companies, state-owned entities and NGOs from a myriad of industry sectors, from construction, banking and real estate to automotive. Marcin has handled a range of cross-border disputes, working with lawyers from international firms. He has advised government administration bodies and ministries, and worked for clients from the property, infrastructure, hotel, distilling, shipbuilding, rail, automotive, pharmaceutical and banking industries.

Marcin’s recent work highlights include co-leading the defence of Volkswagen AG in what is probably the leading consumer group action in Poland outside the financial sector, concerning VW’s EA189 Diesel engines. He was also instrumental in EMG v. Egypt arbitration as the co-counsel in respect of the Polish law. He is also involved in a number of matters as a lead partner and team member, with a particular focus on sustainability issues such as representing ClientEarth, a Polish branch of the British multinational environmental law charity, before the Polish anti-monopoly watchdog UOKiK, as well as advice to leading CIS companies in energy and metallurgy sector regarding commercial disputes in Poland, to mention just a few.

Marcin was admitted to the Bar in 1997 and for many years was the head of the litigation practice in one of the leading Polish law firms. In 2010, he started his own law firm and has since then expanded his practice. Alongside dispute resolution, he and his team also advise on mergers and acquisitions, bankruptcy law and white-collar crime.

Marcin’s years of experience in conducting legal proceedings is of great benefit to his clients – he knows the tricks of the trade, but can also steer matters towards an amicable resolution and use his knowledge to avoid proceedings whenever reasonable. He is recommended in numerous rankings and publications, such as Chambers Europe, Chambers Global, the Legal500 and Rzeczpospolita’s Law Firm Ranking, as one of the best-known litigators in Poland.
