Position

Sezin Okkan Çalışkan is the founding partner of Caliskan Okkan Toker. She has a wide range of and notable expertise in capital markets and banking and finance transactions. Her practice area includes on-shore and off-shore based public offerings, bond and other capital market instruments issuance, licenses and operation permissions, compliance and structural requirements, cross boarder capital markets products and services, derivatives, investment funds, financial markets requirements and payment systems. She has a well-earned reputation in financial sector mergers or acquisitions where she has acted as the representative of foreign financial institutions for their incorporation, opening and/or acquisition of Turkish banks, other financial institutions and representative offices as well as transfer of certain business to another financial institution. She also regularly advises financial institutions on regulatory compliance matters and regulatory filings with the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency and the Capital Markets Board. Additionally, she has been acting in various finance transactions covering financing agreements and financial restructuring.
