Avgoustinos, a partner of the Firm, has been with the Firm since 2004.

He is a highly experienced and well-regarded litigation lawyer with extensive knowledge of civil and administrative law, family law and property law. Regarding family law, Avgoustinos handles divorces, child custody, alimony cases and matrimonial property disputes. In addition, Avgoustinos has a long career arguing before the Cyprus Radio Television Authority while representing television and radio stations. As a result of Avgoustinos’ involvement and experience with the mass media market in Cyprus and advising and representing various large publishing houses in Cyprus, Avgoustinos has gained thorough experience in defamation and libel cases. It should be mentioned that Avgoustinos has particular expertise and knowledge in handling defamation cases arising in the social media world, including Facebook (Meta). He has appeared numerous times before the Cyprus Tender Review Authority and has been advising clients on the procedural requirements of tendering in Cyprus. Furthermore, Avgoustinos has in-depth knowledge and experience in dealing with cases regarding construction law, including the creation and review of construction contracts and purchase agreements, acting from both the seller’s and the buyer’s side.

Moreover, Avgoustinos is a qualified arbitrator registered with the Cyprus Arbitration and Mediation Center (CAMC). This enables him to provide an alternative means of dispute resolution that encompasses multiple benefits to the parties. In particular, he has extensive knowledge in resolving employer-contractor disputes through arbitration.
