Panayiotis has extensive experience in all areas of Civil Law, including Contract Law, Commercial, Labor and Corporate Law as well as Administrative Law and European Law.

From 1997 to 2002, he founded and managed his own law firm “Panayiotis A. Kakkouras and Associates”. In April 2002, he was appointed by the Cabinet as Deputy Commissioner of Electronic Communications and Postal Regulations, a position he held for a six-year term until March 2008. He also served as a Board Member of the Famagusta Bar Association, the Cyprus Land Development Organization and the Prison Council. In addition, Panayiotis is the President of the “Foundation Dr. Lena Loizou Kakkouras”.

Since 2016, he has been a member of the Supreme Judicial Committee of Sports. Moreover, he is registered as a mediator for commercial and civil cases in the Ministry of Justice and Public Order registers respectively. He is also registered in the register of Arbitrators and Mediators of the Scientific and Technical Chamber of Cyprus (ETEK).

Panayiotis was a co-founder in 2008 of the law firm “Kakkouras & Panayides LLP” until its merger with the firm “Christos Patsalidis LLP” in 2024, in which he is currently a Senior Partner.
