Position

Bastian Thurneysen areas of expertise are national and international tax law. He advises groups of companies, small and medium enterprises and start-ups on all tax law issues, in particular on mergers and acquisitions, financing, reorganizations and employee participation plans. In addition, he advises on tax issues in the crypto area and advises private clients in all tax matters. One of Bastian Thurneysen's areas of expertise is tax litigation, in particular in the area of international tax administrative assistance. As co-author of iusNet Steuerrecht, Bastian Thurneysen is always informed about the latest case law in tax law and advises his clients efficiently and practically.

Education

Bastian Thurneysen studied at the University of Basel and graduated in 2011 with a master's degree in law. In 2018, he obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Cape Town in international tax law and in 2020 the diploma as a Swiss certified tax expert.
