Competition and Antitrust

Partner, Member of the Management Committee.
Mr. Svechkar heads the firm's Competition & Antitrust practice. Igor advises clients on a wide variety of competition law issues, including merger control, cartels, dominance, and state aid. He represents clients before the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine and at courts, develops antitrust compliance programs and policies, opines on the competition compliance of clients' activities, transactions and arrangements. Mr. Svechkar is a frequent speaker at seminars and conferences, a contributor to Ukrainian and international publications on competition law, as well as an originator and supporter of legislative and regulatory initiatives.

Mr. Svechkar started his legal career as an associate with Asters in 1998 and was promoted to a partner in 2008.
