Career

He previously worked as an associate with De Bandt (now Linkaters) and later Lontings & Partners (now Lydian). He joined ALTIUS as a Partner in 2003.

William’s regulatory work consists of providing advice on all regulatory issues and assisting clients in litigation before the Belgian lower courts and the Council of State, the country’s highest administrative court.

William focuses on public procurement matters, and he provides advice and litigates in tender proceedings.

Furthermore, William has developed strong expertise in the energy and pharmaceutical sectors and often advises companies on the Belgian legal and regulatory framework.

William regularly publishes on public procurement law, on soil pollution and zoning, particularly on judicial protection under European and Belgian law.

Together with tax law firm Tiberghien, ALTIUS regularly publishes the ‘RealEstate Gazette’ (www.altius.com). Both firms are also partner of REALTY, Belgium’s premier real estate fair (www.realty-brussels.com). William is a regular speaker for the VVA (‘Vlaamse Vereniging voor Aanbestedingsrecht’) and was also involved in the drafting of the chapter on “Goods” in the new Belgian Civil Code.
