Career

Gerrit Vandendriessche was admitted to the Brussels Bar in 1997. He became a Partner at ALTIUS in 2008.

Gerrit Vandendriessche practices ICT and general commercial law.

He regularly advises on computer law, privacy and data protection, electronic communications, e-commerce, outsourcing, digital signatures and certification, software, cloud services, distant sales rules, commercial practices including (on-line) advertising, and general commercial law. He also conducts ICT-related litigation.

A regular speaker at conferences, Gerrit has an extensive publication record in the fields of ICT and commercial and is also freelance Researcher and guest lecturer at the KULeuven and at the Centre for Law, Science, Technology & Society Studies (LSTS) of the Free University of Brussels (VUB).

Gerrit is fluent in Dutch, French, English and Spanish.

Memberships

Gerrit Vandendriessche is the President of Legal Task Force of the Belgian Direct Marketing Association (BDMA) and the Legal Hub of the Belgian Association of Marketing (BAM).

He is Co-founder and secretary of BETECH, an ICT network in Belgium. He is member of the Belgian Computer Security Computer Club (BELCLIV) and of the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB). Gerrit is furthermore a member of ITechLaw and IAPP.
