Career

Carlo Angelici joined Grimaldi Studio Legale as Of Counsel in December 2012. He had - and still has - an intense academic career and holds important institutional offices. He has contributed to the reform of Italian corporate law, by participating to relevant government commissions. More specifically, he worked from 1984 to 1994 at the Ministry of Justice tasked with transposing of the EU Community Directives in the matter of companies; in 1998, he was a member of the Study Commission in charge of preparing a delegated law on corporate matters (“Commissione Mirone”), and in 2001 he was a member of the commission responsible for executing the delegation within the framework of the corporate law reform (“Commissione Vietti”), and in 2003, he was a member of the Study Commission for the coordination and amendment of Legislative Decree no. 5 and 6, on the execution of the delegation in the context of the corporate law reform. In addition to many academic awards, Carlo Angelici was also a Delegate of the Italian Government at the UNCITRAL (United Nations Commission on International Trade Law), in his capacity as Legal Advisor of the Ministry of the Treasury in 1999 and 2000, and was - and still is - a member of the Board of Directors of prominent Italian companies, including Enel S.p.A., Telecom Italia Mobile S.p.A., Stretto di Messina S.p.A., Pirelli & C. S.p.A., SACE BT and Enel Green Power S.p.A. He also worked as Secretary of the Board of Directors of Alitalia S.p.A. and as independent director of Enel Green Power S.p.A. (since October 2010).
