Career

Stefano Bianchi has over twenty years of experience in corporate, commercial and bankruptcy law with a particular focus on corporate restructuring.

He usually assists, both in and out of court, leading multinational and Italian companies in different sectors, having gained extensive experience in corporate, M&A, real estate transactions, securities and commercial transactions, both domestic and cross-border. In addition, he has considerable experience in contractual matters (domestic and international). He regularly deals with corporate and commercial litigation.

With particular regard to the corporate crisis, he provides advice and assistance to primary insolvency procedures with domestic and international profiles, he deals with debt restructuring (preparation of composition plans, reorganization plans under art. 67 L.F. and art. 182-bis L.F.) also covering the role of liquidator. He provides assistance and advice, in and out of court, to creditors with disputed interests in bankruptcy proceedings.

In the field of banking law he has gained a long experience in advising one of the leading Italian credit institutions both in litigation (for medium term loans, anatocism/usury and litigation in bankruptcy proceedings) and in debt collection.

For over 20 years, he has developed a wide experience in international consulting, particularly in the LatAm area where, on one side, he regularly assists Italian and European companies in commercial and M&A transactions aimed at those markets and, on the other side, he advises Latin American companies operating in Italy.

Stefano Bianchi is also a member of STEP (a global professional association for professionals specialized in succession planning, trusts and family estate planning) and of counsel for the Swiss Capital Trustees structure (based in Zurich and Lugano).

Before joining Grimaldi Studio Legale, Stefano Bianchi trained in a leading Italian law firm, followed by a first experience in the establishment of his own firm together with a team of collaborators and then the partnership in ILC Law & Business Firm.
