Career

Paolo Spada joined Grimaldi Studio Legale as an Of Counsel in the month of September 2017. From 1971 to 1974 he has been a professor at the University of Camerino and Macerata and, as from 1975, tenured professor at the University of Macerata and Florence. In 1983, he was first asked to teach Industrial Law, and then Commercial Law at the Faculty of Jurisprudence of the University “La Sapienza” in Rome, in his capacity as full professor until October 31, 2010. Paolo Spada was also invited to participate as a professeur invité at the University of Paris I Sorbonne (1991), Paris X Nanterre (1995) and Paris II Assas (2008). In January 2010, he has received the honorary degree from the University of Paris II Assas. He has been member of several legislative Commissions established in Italy for the transposition of European Directives and International Treaties in the field of intellectual property; and has participated in Commissions tasked by the European Community with studying issues on company law  and copyright. From 1983 to 2010, he was a member of the Appeals Commission for patents and trademarks.
