Barbara has experience in dealing with various types of property problems and disputes that originate from either freehold or leasehold land. These include rights of way, shared facilities, adverse possession, co-ownership, boundary disputes and residential and commercial landlord and tenant. She has a particular interest in disputes that arise in the land registry and has represented clients in the Land Registry’s First Tier Tribunal.

Barbara has specialised in property disputes for nearly 20 years and is a longstanding member of the Property Litigation Association.

Education

Barbara read Law at the University of Durham and completed her professional examinations at the College of Law in Guildford. She trained with a London firm and spent a year teaching English in Turin, Italy before embarking on her legal career. She has spent periods in practice in both Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire as well as teaching Land Law and other areas of law on a full and part-time basis.
