Position

Caroline, a partner in family law at Vardagsspecialises exclusively in family law and most notably on all aspects of children law. Sensitive and tenacious with trilingual capacity, Caroline is well-versed in domestic and international disputes, with particular experience in cross-border disputes. Her expertise spans widely from child arrangements and relocation matters to parental child abduction (Hague and non-Hague), foreign orders, injunctions and protection orders. Coined a rising star’ in her field, Caroline is renowned for her straight-talking, empathetic and unpretentious approach as a lawyer.  

 

Career

Caroline joined Vardags in 2021, having first qualified and worked at a leading London specialist Family law firm in the award-winning Children Department headed by the late Anne Marie Hutchinson OBE, QC (Hon). Whilst there, Caroline worked for HNW individuals across a whole spectrum of children cases, including the first case to make use of the 1996 Hague Convention for child abduction in England and Russia.  

Caroline also undertook a secondment at The Permanent Bureau of the Hague Conference on Private International Law (HCCH) in Hong Kong in 2018. She has also twice served as a Rapporteur for the 2nd and triennial International Family Law and Practice Conferences. Caroline has been a Commissioner of Oaths for Quebec, Canada, since 2010.

Caroline speaks fluent French and Spanish.

Education

Caroline initially studied Civil Law at  l’Université de Montréal, Québec, and later obtained a First-Class Honours degree in Law from the University of Westminster. She went on to complete her LPC qualifications at The University of Law, London.
