James is a partner and Head of Property at Vardags. He specialises in complex and high and ultra-high value property purchases, sales, and mortgages. James is an expert on the prime residential London property market. He works with incredible speed for his clients to secure transactions in as little as seven hours on prime and super-prime property in London and across the country. James has been praised for his talent for skilfully identifying and simplifying complex issues, often including multiple jurisdictions and sophisticated structures.

After qualifying at a West End firm, James worked at several leading London private client firms before joining Vardags as a Director in 2019.

James is ranked as a ‘notable practitioner’ in the Chambers High Net Worth Guide 2018.

James regularly appears in major press, including writing in the Financial Times, being interviewed by Citywealth, and commenting on the rise of online estate agents in the Daily Mail.

James read Law at The University of Reading and graduated in 2000. He went on to study for his LPC at The College of Law in Guildford.
