Career

Dr. Bahieldin Elibrachy started his professional career at I&D in 1985.  His career is both extensive and diversified.

He represented a major electrical and electronics company in its contract to revamp the Egyptian telephone land-line service. He worked extensively in major projects to revamp the Egyptian railroad service. He worked with major cement companies in their operations in Egypt. He worked with a major oil and gas company operating in Egypt in its down-stream business including its successful operation of stores in its gas stations. He worked in the upstream business with major operators in the field. He advised a pipe-line operator in its transport of gas from Egypt to Israel. He was involved in construction arbitration including working for the Egyptian Ministry of Information to settle a major arbitration dispute regarding Egyptian Media Production City. He worked on the licensing contracts of the Egyptian Radio and Television Union stations internationally. He successfully worked on a major arbitration to defend Egyptian Radio and Television Union, Ministry of Information in an arbitration case in San Diego, California. He successfully represented Egyptian Radio and Television Union, Ministry of Information, to settle a case against it before the New Jersey courts in the United States of America. He represented an international company in linking the Egyptian gateway to the world-wide-web. He worked as outside counsel to a major construction company in Egypt. He worked in major loan agreements extended to the Egyptian mobile companies as well as a major trading group in the construction and transportation business. He represented major airlines in their operation in Egypt. He represented a major cement operator in its acquisition of an Egyptian multinational cement operator worth 15 billion USD, the largest acquisition on the Egyptian Stock Exchanges. He represented a major Arab franchisor in its international franchising agreements. He acted as an expert witness in an ICSID arbitration involving a dispute over the allocation of land for a touristic project.

In the last fifteen years, Dr. Elibrachy worked closely with an Egyptian satellite operator.  The work included the purchase of satellites, the regulatory work in relation to the frequency appropriation from the International Telecommunication Union and the negotiations of the launch contracts.  He also worked closely in relationship to all the legal aspects of the operation of the satellites.
