Lian Mannheims LL.M. is an expert in the field of criminal litigation. She has a great deal of procedural experience in a wide variety of criminal cases including drug- and murder cases. Her experience includes financial criminal law, environmental and economic criminal law and (air) traffic law. She also has extensive experience in procedures relating to the confiscation of the proceeds of crime.

Mannheims is one of the few lawyers in the Netherlands who specialize in air traffic law. Moreover, she specializes in international criminal law. Her clients are individuals, (foreign) companies and authorities. From 2001 to October 2009, she was portfolio holder for criminal law in the Supervisory Council of the Amsterdam Bar Association. Additionally she was acting Dean for four years. From November 2009 until July 2020 she was a board member of the Dutch Association of Defence Council, serving as vice-president from 2011.

Mannheims has registered the following principal (and secondary) legal practice areas in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister): general practice, criminal law and disciplinary law. Based on this registration, she is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
