Restructuring

Matthieu joined Fairway as a partner in September 2020 in order to create the Restructuring practice. Matthieu's expertise covers debt restructuring in the context of pre-bankruptcy proceedings (ad hoc and conciliation procedures), as well as in the context of safeguard, reorganization and liquidation proceedings and, more generally, all matters in connection with the restructuring of distressed companies, both advising clients and representing them in court. Matthieu also has an extensive experience in commercial, banking, financial and civil litigation, and he is also involved in financing transactions and capital markets including as counsel to foreign investors.

Prior to joining Fairway, Matthieu was a partner at De Pardieu Brocas Maffei law firm from 2007 through 2018, after he worked as an associate in the same firm for 7 years. He then was a partner at De Gaulle Fleurance & Associés from 2018 through 2020.
