Career

Dr. Andreas Kramer is an Attorney-at-Law and Certified Lawyer for Intellectual Property Law. Since he was admitted to the bar in 2009, he has worked for renowned law firms specializing in Intellectual Property Law in Düsseldorf. In 2018 he joined the Düsseldorf office of VOSSIUS as a partner of the firm.

His work focuses on advising domestic and foreign clients in patent infringement proceedings, in particular representing them before the German courts and coordinating series of – cross-border – infringement proceedings.

Dr. Kramer has extensive experience in patent infringement proceedings, in particular in the areas of mobile communications including the antitrust-based FRAND Defense, pharmaceuticals, in particular biologics and biosimilars, veterinary medicine, medical devices, life sciences and mechanics.

Dr. Kramer has also conducted numerous proceedings concerning non-technical intellectual property rights, in particular in design, trademark, unfair competition and copyright law.

Dr. Kramer regularly publishes articles and lectures on various topics of intellectual property law.

Memberships

Andreas Kramer is a member of the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property and Copyright Law (GRUR) and of the German national group of AIPPI.

Education

Dr. Kramer studied law at the Universities of Bremen and Münster. Already during his studies he has obtained additional certificates in Information, Telecommunication and Media Law as well as in Intellectual Property Law. After his first state examination, Dr. Kramer obtained his doctorate in intellectual property law under Prof. Dr. Hoeren at the University of Münster. During his legal clerkship, he deepened his knowledge in the field of intellectual property law in specialized law firms and companies as well as in a specialized chamber of the District Court of Düsseldorf. Dr. Kramer also completed a stage at the Queen Mary Intellectual Property Research Institute in London.
