Andrew specialises on the full range of contentious and non-contentious insurance and reinsurance matters, with a focus on complex cross-border disputes in respect of property damage and business interruption, energy insurance (including WELCAR), liability and specialty insurance products such as Political Risks and Credit Insurance. He has acted for developers, contractors, designers, engineers and insurance brokers in disputes arising out of failed property developments and construction projects. He is often called upon to compel indemnity when insurance or reinsurance does not respond. Recently, he has been engaged on a class action for a multinational aircraft engine manufacturer and its insurers.
