Legal Director

Jenny is a Legal Director in our London office and speaks Greek. Jenny advises on all aspects of wet and dry shipping law, offshore shipping contracts and marine insurance. Jenny has a broad practice including advising shipowners, cargo owners and salvors in casualty situations, and assisting owners, charterers and cargo interests in charterparty and bill of lading disputes, and with issues arising under the Limitation Convention 1976. Jenny has advised extensively in relation to the offshore/energy shipping sector, negotiating towage and OSV contracts on behalf of shipowners and charterers, and handling offshore contract disputes.

Jenny has extensive experience in arbitration, High Court and Court of Appeal litigation. Her reported cases include Arash Shipping v Groupama Transport [2011] EWCA Civ 620, Bunge SA v Kyla Shipping Company Limited (The Kyla) [2012] EWHC 3522 (Comm), Kyla Shipping Company Limited v. Bunge S.A. (The Kyla) [2013] EWCA Civ 734, Caresse Navigation Ltd v. Office National de L’Electricite and others (The Channel Ranger) [2013] EWHC 3081 (Comm), Kairos Shipping Ltd v. Enka & Co LLC and Others (The Atlantik Confidence) [2016] EWHC 2412 (Admlty), and Split Chartering APS V Saga Shipholding Norway AS (The Stema Barge II) [2021] EWCA CIV 1880, and Herculito Maritime Limited & others v Gunvor International BV & others [2021] EWCA Civ 1828 (The Polar). Jenny’s work has recently been recognised by Legal500 UK (2022) who have named her a ‘Rising Star’ within the legal Shipping industry.

Jenny is based in London and qualified in England and Wales. She spent two years in HFW’s Piraeus office.
