Career

Nina Ringen is a partner in and head of Lundgrens’ department of Intellectual Property & Life Science. She advises Danish and international companies in connection with commercialization and enforcement of IP rights. In addition, Nina assists with establishing and maintaining portfolios of IP rights, especially trademarks and designs, and preparation of IP risk management programs. Finally, Nina advises numerous Danish and international companies on IP issues in connection with acquisitions and sales of companies.

Nina also has great experience advising on regulatory matters relating to foods, dietary supplements, medicinal products and medical devices.

Nina has litigated a wide range of IP cases before the Danish courts, including inter alia

Represented Interflora Danmark before the Danish Eastern High Court in 2020 in a case regarding the trademark ”SIG DET MED BLOMSTER” (Say it with flowers), Represented Unilamp AS et al. before the Danish Maritime and Commercial High Court in 2021 in a case regarding the trademark ”GYRO”, and Represented Secto Design Oy before the Danish Maritime and Commercial High Court in 2021 in a case regarding copyright to lighting products.

She has also assisted on a number of IP heavy transactions, including inter alia

The sale of the majority shareholding in the Danish clothing company Masai Clothing to the British private equity fund Silverfleet The sale of the majority shareholding in the Danish clothing company GANNI to the American private equity fund L. Catterton The sale of 60% of the Danish clothing company LES DEUX to the Swedish investment company Röko

Memberships

Nina has obtained a board education from CBS Executive and is a member of Bestyrelseskvinder (Board Women).

She continuously writes articles for World Trademark Review and contributes to The Trademark Reporter’s Annual Review. Nina is also a member of INTA Anticounterfeiting Committee and chairman of the board in Danish Anti-Counterfeit Group (DACG).​

Nina is recognized and recommended in inter alia Chambers, Legal 500, WTR1000 and Managing IP’s IP Stars as well as Top 250 Women in IP (global).

Education

Nina obtained her Master of Laws from the University of Copenhagen (2000).
