Private Client Department

Partner in the Private Client Department specialising in Care and Capacity.

Edward has been with the firm since 2008 and has developed a specialism for helping families and elderly clients with all aspects relating to mental capacity and their affairs, including power of attorney advice, Court of Protection applications and adult safeguarding concerns. With Katrina Vollentine, he heads up our specialist care and capacity team, extending our expertise to clients all over the south west and beyond.

Working in this area of law, Edward has developed a greater understanding of Alzheimer’s and Dementia disease and how they impact an individual’s mental capacity and their families around them.

He also work with families who have children with additional needs, who are transitioning from child services to adult social services.

When not working Edward likes to spend as much time as possible with his family enjoying the beautiful South Devon area.
