Career

Emma is a company and commercial property solicitor and partner with 20 years of experience with clients large and small.

She is experienced in dealing with all aspects of commercial law including business sales (asset and share sales and purchases), structures, shareholder agreements, partnership agreements, bespoke contracts such as distribution and manufacturing agreements, joint venture agreements, business Terms & Conditions and settlement agreements.

Emma also deals with every aspect of commercial property law from site assembly, planning, development, acquisitions, disposals, option agreements, conditional contracts, joint venture build agreements, leases, SIPP/SSAS and commercial funding.

Her passion is working with business with a value on renewables, ethical trade, repurposing, recycling and / or sustainability.

She prides herself on building long lasting relationships with her clients, understanding their history and aspirations helping her to support them with clear and sound commercial and strategic advice delivered with common sense.

Before joining Wollens, Emma completed her training contract with a large national firm, qualifying into their commercial property department in Manchester. Whilst there she was seconded to the Commonwealth Games Committee to finalise the commercial contracts to put on the games from advertising to suppliers to venues.

During this time, she married her husband James, who is from Devon, and made the move to the South West 17 years ago ​and started a family.

Since then, Emma has worked for another large regional firm based in North Devon as a partner in their commercial department for South West and national clients.

Memberships

Emma has been appointed at the Legal Director onto the board of Devon Football Association.

Personal

When Emma is not working, she spends time with her family and enjoy most sports but particularly those involving water from surfing, boating on the river Dart, and swimming.

She also enjoy skiing and snowboarding.
