Career

Jessica was born in Inverness in Scotland where she grew up before moving south to study drama for 3 years and settling in the Southwest to have a family. Having worked for the Civil Service and the NHS, she then studied law as a mature student at Bristol University.

After graduation, she specialised in litigation for 12 years at a large law firm in Plymouth. After a short break Jessica returned to law in 2013 and currently holds the position of Associate Solicitor specialising in Private Client law here at Wollens with her focus being on wills, estate & tax planning and lasting powers of attorney.

Jessica strives to provide the best advice and in offering excellent client service.  She takes pride in building strong client relationships and the provision of approachable support during stressful times.

She regularly advises and assist clients with putting wills in place that ‘protect’ their estates for future generations or that are appropriate where clients are carers of children with additional needs or vulnerable adults as well as advising clients with higher wealth or business assets.

She enjoys delivering/presenting talks locally on issues arising from wills and lasting powers of attorney and is a strong advocate for the community in which she lives and practice.

Memberships

Jessica remains an avid supporter of all aspects of theatre, although now in a spectator role and is delighted to currently be sitting on the Board of Trustees of ISTA which is an international charity supporting education and theatre across the globe.
