Founder and Managing Partner

Piraye Erdem is the Founder and Managing Partner of Erdem & Erdem. She leads the Dispute Resolution Department. She has vast experience and a considerable reputation in both international and domestic arbitration and litigation.   During her career of 30 years, she has represented a broad range of local and foreign clients in commercial and administrative litigation and in international arbitration proceedings.  As an integral part of her practice, she has been engaged in the resolution of commercial disputes concerning M&A transactions, agency and distribution contracts, construction agreements, service, equipment, hardware and software sale, supply and installation agreements.

Ms. Erdem advises clients in matters involving international commercial contracts, arbitration proceedings, recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards and enforcement of foreign and local court judgments, law of obligations, labor law, foreign investments and M&A transactions in various industries.

As significant part of her involvement as Managing Partner, Ms. Erdem coordinates client relations and firm’s practice among the practice groups.  She supervises the daily operations of administrative departments and chairs firm’s executive committees. Her position is instrumental in ensuring firm’s compliance with ethical and professional standards and oversees compliance with firm policies and procedures.
