Career

Eman is a solicitor qualified in England & Wales and has 18 years’ experience. Prior to joining the firm in 2009, she established and managed her own law firm in West London where she gained a track record of success in a range of high profile cases which attracted worldwide media exposure.

Eman’s practice areas cover the full range of employment issues, both contentious and non-contentious. She has extensive experience in advising on all aspects of employment law, including drafting and advising on employment contracts and policies, secondment agreements, terminations, settlements, restructuring and redundancies. She is also experienced in dealing with complex disciplinary investigations and has recently assisted clients in relation to the new Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) Amnesty scheme which is being applied from 1st July to 31st December 2015 for illegal foreign workers.

She has advised in a range of corporate transactions. These included advising on franchising, structuring, re-structuring, reorganization, asset and share acquisitions and licensing. Eman has also carried out extensive due diligence on projects for share and asset acquisitions which included many international household names in the retail, fast food and the banking sectors. She also advises on setting up trusts, insurance law & regulations, licensing, agency laws, liquidation, anti-bribery laws, corporate governance and regulatory compliance.

Eman also advises in relation to real estate matters and successfully assisted several clients in litigation proceedings to recoup their losses and rescind breached contracts in disputes over stalled real estate projects.

Eman has written for Bahrain Report, and received acknowledgments from the World Bank for her annual contribution to their Doing Business Report in relation to her advice on employment law. More recently, she has participated in workshops and advised in seminars on the new Bahrain labour law which became effective from 2 September 2012.
