Career

Halyna specializes in providing tax and regulatory advisory to different businesses at various stages of their activities in Ukraine: from initial advice related to setting up a legal presence in Ukraine to complex support of full-fledged commercial and production activity.

Halyna was appointed a member of the Local Management Board in Kyiv in 2019; she co-manages the Ukrainian PETERKA & PARTNERS office as Deputy Director for Ukraine. She is the Leader of the Ukrainian Desk at PETERKA & PARTNERS. Halyna is also the Leader of the Tax Desk at PETERKA & PARTNERS.

Halyna is experienced in providing legal assistance during tax audits and representing clients before courts in tax disputes. Halyna also focuses on currency control regulation and providing complex legal assistance for various transactions between residents and non-residents of Ukraine, such as loan financing and other cross-border contracts.

Her recent projects have included successful representation of Mammoet in two court instances in 1 million EUR VAT dispute with customs authorities; successful representation of TCCM and Mekoprint in several court disputes concerning VAT; complex tax and legal support of alternative energy infrastructure project in the south of Ukraine; complex tax advisory on multinational group restructuring of Atlas Copco with the following implementation of the advisory in Ukraine.
