Senior Partner

He worked for the law firm Pavia e Ansaldo from 1990 to 1999, becoming a partner in 1996. From 1999 to 2007 he was partner head of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer’s Italian Intellectual Property and Information Technology department. He was the co-founder of the firm in 2007, which in 2013 welcomed as new partner, Mr. Ortu and became Orsingher Ortu - Avvocati Associati.

He has many years of experience in assisting Italian and foreign clients on a broad range of matters pertaining to intellectual and industrial property, information technology, unfair competition, advertising, Internet and e-commerce, both in the contentious and non-contentious spheres. He is often called upon by his clients – market leaders or important companies – to handle the IP aspects of complex corporate and financial transactions.

He was admitted to practice in 1990 and, since 2015, he has rights of appearance before the Italian Supreme Court.

He graduated with a law degree, cum laude, from Bologna University in 1987  and served his traineeship in Padua and Milan with the law firm of Prof. Alberto Miele.
