Diversity

Diversity:

As a law firm, we believe that diversity and inclusion are essential to providing the best possible service to our clients and to promoting justice in our society. That is why Boden Law is committed to fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion within our firm and in the legal profession as a whole.  Boden Law is committed to breaking down the barriers and creating a more inclusive environment for people of all races, genders, sexual orientations, religions, and backgrounds. To achieve this goal, we have implemented several initiatives as listed below. As Boden Law, we are dedicated not only to our clients but also to our community. Our firm believes that lawyers have a duty to devote time to serve their society in positive ways. In our office, we have a diversity and inclusion committee (“Diversity Committee”) of 3 people, of which two are partners and one is support team. With this committee, we aim to set an example for both our office and other law firms in the sector in every sense of diversity and to touch the lives of ourselves, our team and our clients.

During job interviews and employment, Boden Law does not discriminate against any applicant or teammate based on ethnicity, religion, language, gender or race. Boden Law’s recruitment process is solely based on the applicants’ experience and abilities. With the creation of a workspace where all are treated equally, be it an attorney, legal intern or support team, Boden Law differentiates itself from others with its approach. The firm is dedicated in sustaining its workplace practices while providing all our employees equal rights, opportunities, and salaries solely based on seniority, which is well ahead of the Turkish legal sector.

Despite progress in recent years, women continue to be underrepresented in the legal profession, especially in senior positions. Promoting the representation of women in the legal profession is not only a matter of fairness and equity, but it also leads to better outcomes for clients and society as a whole. Aside from having a woman managing and founding partner, women participation at partner’s level is 66%.  The ratio of women to men in the Firm overall is at 77%. Boden Law is dedicated in contributing to the women representation in the legal market and has no-tolerance policy for discrimination based on gender within the firm. Our partners are also members of ArbirtalWomen, an organization promoting female  practitioners  in  international  dispute  resolution  that  supports  students  with  vis-moot  events, promotes  and  support  campaigns  on  gender  equality.  In  2022,  Boden Law  sponsored  an  ArbitralWomen conference in Istanbul. Boden Law also take an active role in the society for environmental protection and human rights. Equality and non-discrimination are also a human right and our partners constantly lecture on these topics and contribute to development of a sustainable environment.
