Position

At Quinz, Stijn focuses primarily on dispute resolution. His practice circles around corporate litigation (shareholder disputes, director liability, post-acquisition claims, ESG litigation etc.) as well as insolvency matters, where he regularly acts both for creditors as well as for debtors in restructuring. Stijn is appreciated by clients and colleagues for his profound expertise in corporate law and his pragmatic problem-solving approach.

Prior to joining Quinz, Stijn worked at the Jan Ronse Institute for company and financial law of KU Leuven, first as a full time assistant, and later on as a fellow of the Research Foundation – Flanders (FWO). Upon his Ph.D. defense in April 2016 he remains associated with the Jan Ronse Institute on a voluntary basis. Stijn is a part time professor at the Antwerp University Faculty of Law, where he teaches insolvency law. Stijn also sits on the editorial board of the Tijdschrift voor Rechtspersoon en Vennootschapsrecht - Revue Pratique des Sociétés (TRV-RPS) and is a member of the Belgian Centre for Corporate Law (BCV-CDS). He frequently speaks at conferences or seminars, and publishes on various aspects of company and insolvency law.
