Andrew is an experienced high-level advocate who specialises in complex crime, complex murders, high-value fraud, conspiracy to defraud and mental health. He has carried out business defence and prosecution work for a wide range of companies and organisations as well as representing individuals in challenging criminal and mental health matters. Andrew holds Higher Rights of Audience in both criminal and civil courts and was admitted to the Bar in 2009 as a member of Gray’s Inn. He regularly advises and represents individuals who are charged with motoring offences. He and the team have an excellent track record of saving driving licences even where a client has reached the maximum number of points. Andrew has represented a number of the firm’s business clients in this area and is skilled in the often complex legal arguments which can be used to defend a case.

David is Senior Asoociate and  specialises in commercial property and development work and has acquired a breadth of experience undertaking transactions for private, corporate and public clients of all sizes. Some examples of the work that David can assist with include: Sale and purchase of freehold land for commercial and residential developments; Option agreements for development land; Promotion agreements; Collaboration agreements; Overage agreements; Building licences and development agreements; Title investigation; First registration of unregistered land; and Landlord and Tenant work including new leases, lease renewal and licences. David seeks to find pragmatic and creative solutions that achieve the client’s objectives, manage risk and get the transaction across the line.

Farhana is a leading family law solicitor who helps clients with separation, divorce, pre-nuptial contracts, cohabitation agreements and children's residence and contact arrangements. She has considerable experience of handling divorces involving complex financial arrangements and substantial property holdings. Farhana is one of the most prominent Asian family lawyers in the local area and has frequently advised on the validity of religious ceremonies under English law.

James is an Associate in our Commercial Property team and in March 2020, he was appointed Deputy Diocesan Registrar for the Peterborough Diocese. James specialises in all property related matters. He regularly advises clients on all aspects of commercial and residential property transactions, including: sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold property, commercial and agricultural leases, agreements for lease, overage agreements, option agreements and conditional contracts; and commercial and residential mortgages.
Kashif Khan
Kashif Khan
Kashif is an Associate in the Criminal Department. Kashif specialises in representing a broad range of criminal investigations. He has extensive experience representing client’s interviews with the police, often leading to successful outcomes for his clients at an early stage of a case. He also has a track record of successfully negotiating out of court settlements and discontinuances with prosecuting authorities, and enjoys finding solutions in challenging situations, including where individuals have previously received incorrect legal advice. Kashif has particular expertise in matters involving youth crime, often working with the Youth Offending Service to divert young individuals away from the criminal justice system.

Luke is a solicitor in our Dispute Resolution Team and has experience acting for, and advising businesses and individuals on a range of civil practice matters, including disputes pertaining to: breach of contract; landlord and tenant; and boundary, neighbour and property ownership disputes. As well as conducting a number of matters issued in the courts and obtaining successful judgments for his clients, Luke has experience in Alternative Dispute Resolution (notably Mediation). Luke takes a clear and proactive approach to any dispute, whilst ensuring that his clients are kept fully apprised throughout.

Naina joined Hunt & Coombs Solicitors in 2014 as a director and head of the personal injury/commercial litigation team. This resulted from the merger with Balfour Law Limited, a successful niche litigation practice which Naina set up in 2007, where she practiced as managing director. Since qualifying in 1989, Naina has worked exclusively in civil litigation with a strong bias in personal injury. Whilst at Balfour Law, Naina developed the only defendant insurer litigation practice in Peterborough, successfully defending employers liability, public liability and professional negligence claims for a number of insurers. Naina’s reputed no-nonsense commercial approach suits her insurer clients as she sets realistic reserves, operates within service level agreements and provides timely, cost-saving results. Naina has used these skills in the high-volume, complex, serious injury cases she deals with for claimants, where she has achieved large settlements in ‘record time’ as she combines her specialist knowledge and experience with her business minded organisational skills to ensure the case is progressed efficiently with the best outcome for the client.

Norman is a senior associate in our Commercial Litigation team and he is experienced in a diverse range of contract disputes but including in particular the supply of goods and services; property litigation including boundary issues, commercial lease termination and dilapidations, possession actions, covenant enforcement including injunctive relief, contentious trust and probate including disputed wills, Inheritance Act claims, removal and substitution of trustees, and claims under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 (TOLATA), debt recovery and insolvency, professional negligence, partnership disputes; and defamation.

Olivia is a Partner within our Corporate Commercial team. Olivia has pursued a dual specialism in both Corporate Commercial and Commercial Property work. Olivia's clients find this to be of particular assistance when their matters overlap both areas, which is often the case with business disposals and acquisitions. Olivia has developed a portfolio of regular clients including established commercial businesses and high net worth private individuals, all of whom appreciate the pragmatic and down to earth advice which Olivia is able to offer.

Rebecca is a Partner and has experience in advising a diverse range of clients including corporate clients, limited companies, SME’s and individuals, across a broad range of commercial disputes. She has a wealth of general commercial litigation experience, and has developed expertise in property litigation, professional negligence and debt recovery. Rebecca is able to advise on: Contractual disputes; Property matters (forfeiture, lease extensions and renewals, dilapidations claims, landlord and tenant issues, boundary disputes and repossessions); Professional negligence claims (including claims against valuers, solicitors and accountants); Debt recovery and insolvency; and Enforcement action. Rebecca is a pragmatic solicitor who is always keen to explore the practical as well as legal solutions to a client’s dispute. She has experience in the County Courts, High Court and First Tier Tribunal and has achieved numerous settlements for clients, both pre-action and during the litigation process. Rebecca understands that litigation can be a difficult process and works hard to ensure that her clients receive a first-class service.
