Partner of the Tax Law Department of Baker & McKenzie in Madrid from 2000 to 2009 and Managing Partner of the Firm from 2001 to 2006. Co-founding Partner of Briones, Alonso y Martín Abogados from 1990 to 2000. Former Deputy General Director of Legal Management and Assistance at the General Directorate of Financial and Tax Inspection of the Ministry of Economy and Finance from 1986 to 1989. Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (currently on leave) since 1982.

Member of the Madrid Bar Association.
